Hallo,

1. An audio interface with the appropriate drivers is used for audio files. How does this work with the video tracks - in terms of hardware? Do I also need a video interface? I work with windows.

2. There is also a volume setting in the video menu. For example, Videos with integrated audio. Where do I set the audio output for this?

3. Do flickering in the video (* .avi) and crackling in the audio (* .wav) indicate insufficient computer performance? (win10/64bit/1,9Ghz, 8,0GBRAM/i5-4300U CPU)
Unfortunately, I cannot change the buffers. (I connected a Cymatic-u24)
Thank you in advance for your kind answers.
Best regards
Jürgen

you don't need drivers for videos, Livetraker uses the installed drivers/codecs from your system.

just connect your monitor to HDMI or VGA and you're ready to go

2. There is also a volume setting in the video menu. For example, Videos with integrated audio. Where do I set the audio output for this?

each track has its own mixing control on the right side, check attached screenshot

3. Do flickering in the video (* .avi) and crackling in the audio (* .wav) indicate insufficient computer performance? (win10/64bit/1,9Ghz, 8,0GBRAM/i5-4300U CPU)

These specs are enough to run smoothly basic shows with multitrack audio and one video

Livetraker doesn't buffer anything, just play

it seems issues about codecs and/or conflicts in hardware /software (including your Audio Interface)

Thank you for the fast answer.

Does this mean that it depends on how many HDMI or VGA outputs my laptop has?
When I connect a projector or LED display via HDMI, I see the contents of the computer on the display. Is that correct?
But I want to select the songs on the computer without seeing it on the display - Sorry - I still haven't understood it.
Best regards
J.

of course yes, this is valid for anything: one video out require a separate port
anyway remember that any modern laptop can use also USB port as Video Output,
just using an appropriate adaptor

I see the contents of the computer on the display. Is that correct? But I want to select the songs on the computer without seeing it on the display

please watch the video tutorials about video tracks
https://youtu.be/j0mLdmEx9ps
and assign to each video out (external and/or internal) the appropriate flow

for example, you can assign to external monitor just lyrics or videos that start when a song is played

when the song reaches the end the external monitor will stop show anything

ABOUT V.4.4

the latest version of Livetraker comes with a brand new feature: you can add a static logo that shows up when you do not play a song OR when there are no videos to show into an external video

Basically, when the external monitor is "inactive", it can show automatically your band logo (or any image you want)

You can activate that function inside "Preferences" - see attachment

Thank you very much. Now I understand it. My problem was not LiveTraker but windows.
